President and CEO

Ken R. Welsh is a Florida State Certified General Contractor, CGC, #CGC 041824, who has 35+ years’ experience in the Central Florida construction industry. Ken attended University of Central Florida for both Bachelor studies in Construction Engineering Technology and an AS in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Welsh was the co-owner and company qualifier of G & S Contractors, Inc. for 15 years and subsequently merged with BRPH Construction Services, Inc. becoming the Director of Operations and company qualifier for 5 years prior to forming WELSH CONSTRUCTION in 2003.

His experience ranges from land acquisitions, project financing, site permitting and zoning, engineering and architectural design coordination, accounting and legal coordination/reviews, technical engineering support, scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, contract negotiation, project closeout, and warranty coordination.

Welsh Construction, LLC was formed in 2003 for the purpose of providing commercial construction and design build services to selected customers throughout the State of Florida and beyond. Mr. Welsh firmly believes in the “team” concept on all projects and with customers his goal is to “build relationships for life.”

Jennifer Parkerson

Jennifer Parkerson

Vice President of Operations

Jennifer Welsh Parkerson was recently named Vice President of Operations. Mrs. Parkerson holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management / Information Systems from the University of Central Florida.

Prior to joining Welsh, Jennifer worked as the IT Manager for a small home theater company in South Florida, a Computer Support Specialist supporting multiple offices for a large firm in the Fort Lauderdale area, and then returned to Brevard County where she worked as an IT Specialist for a large firm who supports the Rocket program in Cape Canaveral. Jennifer has a wide range of IT, marketing, and business management skills for both small and large firms that will be of great value to our firm.

Jennifer was the company’s first employee and over the years performed many duties including: IT Management, marketing, bookkeeping, project management on three condominium developments, and recently, Executive Assistant to the President. She will be responsible for enhancing Welsh’s online/social media presence and management of office affairs. She is an integral part of the company’s growth and development.

Mrs. Parkerson, along with her husband, homeschools their two boys and enjoys incorporating travel into their educational ventures.

Gary Goodwin

Gary Goodwin

Chief Estimator

Gary Goodwin is a Florida State Certified General Contractor, CGC, FL #CGC 1512212 who has over 40 years working experience in Florida, throughout the United States and the Middle East. He has a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from the University of Florida. Certified OSHA training.

Prior to joining the Welsh Companies in 2012, Mr. Goodwin owned and operated two construction companies and as a result, has an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry from initial business development, through pre-construction, contract administration, construction management, estimating, site sub-contractor coordination, continuing project management, to project close-out. He has experienced knowledge of government projects with the US military, Kennedy Space Center, NASA, Harris Corporation, etc.

Mr. Goodwin is an accomplished fisherman in Florida and the Keys with stories to match and has a private pilot license-multi-engine, instrument rated.
